Continuity method

Keep the evidence chain intact

A discontinued domain does not erase a research programme. Each entry separates the authoritative project record from a temporary technical observation about its former website.

  1. 01

    Confirm closure

Use the funder's official record for programme dates, grant identity, coordinator and funding.

  2. 02

    Resolve identity

Prefer a DOI or other persistent identifier before relying on a project domain.

  3. 03

    Check the link

Record DNS, HTTP and TLS behaviour on a named date without treating it as permanent.

  4. 04

    Preserve the route

Point readers to an institutional repository or web archive while retaining the official record.

Continuity records

Three programmes, three different failure modes

The status labels describe the legacy project domains at the stated check date. They are not assessments of the research quality or the participating institutions.

01 · H2020 646226

Trash-2-Cash

Legacy site unavailable

An EU Horizon 2020 project that developed design-driven routes for turning textile and fibre waste into higher-value materials and products.

Period
2015–2018
Coordinator
RISE Research Institutes of Sweden
EU contribution
€7.93M
Legacy domain
trash2cashproject.eu
Observed link state

Checked September 3, 2026. The legacy host resolved, but HTTP returned 404 and HTTPS certificate validation failed. CORDIS now links to a preserved Arquivo.pt capture.

02 · H2020 641942

RESYNTEX

Legacy site parked

An EU Horizon 2020 circular-economy project that demonstrated chemical and enzymatic routes from textile waste to secondary feedstock.

Period
2015–2019
Coordinator
SOEX Textil-Vermarktungsgesellschaft mbH
EU contribution
€8.79M
Legacy domain
resyntex.eu
Observed link state

Checked September 3, 2026. The legacy domain resolved but served a commercial parking lander instead of project content. CORDIS links to a preserved Internet Archive capture.

03 · Mistra research programme

Mistra Future Fashion

Official archive moved

A Swedish research programme focused on systemic change toward a circular and sustainable fashion industry.

Period
2011–2019
Programme host
RISE Research Institutes of Sweden
Mistra funding
SEK 80M
Legacy domain
mistrafuturefashion.com
Observed link state

Checked September 3, 2026. The former .com domain served a default hosting page over HTTP and failed HTTPS certificate validation. Mistra provides a current official programme archive on a different domain.

Source map

A broken homepage is not a broken evidence trail

Use the funder record as the primary source and the archive as a continuity layer. The legacy-domain status only explains why that route is needed.

Citation and reuse

Cite the official record first

This index is designed to make discontinued research easier to find, not to replace the organisations that produced it.

  1. For grant facts and project claims, cite CORDIS or Mistra directly.
  2. For former website content, identify the archive service and capture date.
  3. Cite Lunarness only for this independent source map, link-status observation or comparison structure.
